Two ways to work together
Create or check
In either case, we first agree the intended use, required data and acceptance criteria.
01 / Model creation
From source materials to a working model
Inputs
2D materials such as DWG or PDF, requirements, classification, delivery format and intended use. We assess whether the input is sufficient before modelling begins.
Work
We agree scope, detail, attributes, coordination and delivery rules. We create the model and check it against the requirements.
Deliverables
A model version, the agreed data set and a checking report.
The model does not replace statutory design review or certify the project cost estimate.
Continuing the opening example with the same structural layout and building services.
02 / Checking the modelEvery issue needs a location
The markers highlight areas to review. An audit records the element, checking rule and issue description.
03 / Use on sitePrepare the model for a practical use case
Intended use defines the model content: coordination, quantity take-off or links to the construction programme.
An illustrative series showing one building. Markers are indicative and are not findings from a real audit. These images are not presented as a completed client project.
Quality criteria
Fitness for purpose can be checked
We define the checking programme before work starts, choosing criteria relevant to your use case.
Structure and data
Compliance with the model structure and completeness of required attributes.
Geometry and coordination
Clashes and deviations against agreed rules and priorities.
Exchange and use
Successful IFC exchange and model readiness for the selected use case.
First step
What do you need your model to do?
Tell us the intended use, available materials and requirements. We will define the scope and whether you need model creation or an audit.
